Franz Schubert FINCHCOCKS SCHUBERTIADE

£11.00

“one of the most enjoyable performances of [Trockne Blumen] that I have heard” British Flute Society

This beautiful CD was a labour of love for flautist Elizabeth Walker.  Showcasing her magnificent Louis Lot flute (no. 435 from 1859), Liz plays works by Schubert and a work by Theobald Böhm inspired by Schubert.  She is partnered superbly by Richard Shaw playing a Pleyel Grand piano from 1842.  The recording venue was the piano's former – the magnificent keyboard museum at Finchcocks in Goudhurst.

A recording that captures the unique sounds of these instruments and the wonderful atmosphere that Finchcocks possessed.
