About Devine Music
Revived in 2012 by harpsichordist Steven Devine and his partner, the soprano Kate Semmens, Devine Music set out to produce beautiful and interesting recordings that would be good to look at as to listen to. They enlisted the talented young illustrator Emma Jane Semmens to create a wonderful “look”: all her artwork for the Devine Music recordings currently available is based on an element from the CD. Further information can be found on the pages of the CDs themsleves.
In addition, Steven and Kate found they were having to produce new editions of repertoire for many of the recordings and courses they were doing and so decided to make available the fruits of their labour as downloadable sheet music. A long-standing friendship with harpsichordist and harpsichord-maker Colin Booth has added a number of items for harpsichord and Steven’s own arrangements of music for two harpsichords will shortly be available.
